YU is the forth mobile service provider in terms of numbers,its the cheapest in the market.
it has also the lowest internet charges like orange  it uses GPRS platform.
However the settings make more tedious by manually setting the internet.Thy dont have an auto response number to send configuration.

ORANGE KENYA INTERNET SETTINGS

Orange Kenyans is the third mobile solution provider it has a good internet infrastructure which is vibrant for business.Their modem is fast and efficient.
If you want to activate your phone for internet send wap to 1234,you will receive both WAP and MMS unlike airtel you have to send for both.
If you have a universal modem or phone you can change the following settings

• bew.orange.co.ke
• username-blank
• port-blank
• proxy-blank
• passwd-blank

BHARTI AIRTEL KENYA INTERNET SETTINGS

Just like safaricom airtel you can obtain the internet settings by simply sending a text message to  232,this settings will be sent to your phone ,to activate it save the settings.
you can also activate MMS by sending word mms to 232
to activate wap settings send word wap to 232

however there are handsets which are complicated and need manual installation eg Chinese phones.

SAFARICOM KENYA MODEM SETTINGS

If you happen to be in kenya  and you have IPad,Mobile phone,Modem you may need to change the settings as follows.
You need to buy a safaricom line which goes for 100 Kenyan shilling ,activate the line by topping it up with any amount by dialling *141*52345445(pin no)# the pin number is provided with the topping credit card after you scratch.

To activate a phone
send a blank message to 4445 settings will be sent to your phone ,you will be prompted to save.

however you may also manualy do the following especially if you have Chinese phone.

• select the webservices on your ipad or phone
• gprs account select 1
• fill the authetication field
• username-saf
• passwd-data
• authetication type -normal and save& exit
• go to browser settings 
• rename profile as safaricom 
• select home page eg wap.safaicom .com
• dataacconts -safaricom gprs
• profile safaricom
• proxy/gateway  172.022.002.038
• proxyport/gateway -8080
• passwd-blank username-blank
• select save

you can also edit your mms proifile by

• select mms profile and edit
• rename profile :Safaricom MMS
